Business owners in Bernalillo County are being reminded by Assessor Damian Lara to submit their Business Personal Property (BPP) renditions by February 28. This annual requirement is crucial to avoid a 5% penalty that will be added to the 2025 Notice of Value and subsequent tax statement.

There are several ways to file these reports: online at https://assessor.bernco.gov/smartfile, via email at BPP@bernco.gov, by fax at 505.222.3771, in person at 415 Silver Ave., SW, Albuquerque, or through mail sent to PO Box 27108, Albuquerque, NM, with a postmark no later than February 28.

The Office of the Assessor is offering assistance for those who need it. "Office of the Assessor staff are standing by to help!" For support, business owners can call the office at 505-222-3750 or visit www.bernco.gov/assessor where forms are available in both English and Spanish.

"Don’t delay," urges the reminder from the assessor's office, emphasizing the importance of filing BPP renditions before the deadline.
