Representative Melanie Stansbury, who serves New Mexico's 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of tweets highlighting various issues and events. Stansbury, who has been serving since 2021 after replacing Deb Haaland, addressed concerns ranging from local economic conditions to her recent town hall meeting.

On February 20, 2025, Stansbury tweeted about the situation at her neighborhood grocery store: "Scene at my neighborhood grocery this morning. Eggs: $5-10 a carton…if you can find ‘em…and you can’t find ‘em." She further commented on actions by Elon Musk and Donald Trump regarding federal employees: "Meanwhile, Elon Musk and Donald Trump firing federal employees working on the Bird Flu and leaving tens of thousands of federal workers without paychecks."

Later that day, she expressed gratitude for the overwhelming interest in attending her town hall meeting: "Friends: Thank you for being so interested in attending tonight's Town Hall!" She noted that due to high demand, the venue had reached its capacity.

On February 21, 2025, Stansbury thanked constituents for their participation in the town hall event: "New Mexico, thank you for joining us for our Town Hall yesterday! You made your voices loud and clear about your hopes, concerns, and dreams for NM-01 and the country." She assured them that she would take their feedback back to Washington D.C. to address policies affecting New Mexico.
