Bernalillo County is inviting the public to participate in an open house on February 25, where the first draft of the South Coors Boulevard Sector Development Plan will be presented. The plan aims to create mixed-use centers along Coors Boulevard, promoting housing diversity and economic opportunities while enhancing safety and multi-modal transportation options.

The initiative aligns with the Coors Roadway Safety Project, focusing on making the corridor more accessible for pedestrians and transit users. Covering 1,277 acres, it includes strategies for land use, zoning, transportation, housing, economic development, and sustainability.

The open house provides an opportunity for community members to review the draft plan closely, ask questions, and provide feedback before its potential adoption later this year. Attendees can visit information stations detailing proposed zoning changes and participate in discussions. Presentations are scheduled at 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.
