Bernalillo County is once again offering the "Take a Ride on Us" program for Valentine's Day, providing residents in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties with an alternative to driving under the influence during holiday celebrations. The initiative will be available from 10 a.m. on February 13 until 2 a.m. on February 16. Participants can use the Uber app and enter the code NMLOVE25 in the "Vouchers" section to receive up to $10 off two rides.

The offer is limited to 1,000 trips, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The discount applies only to ride fares and does not include Uber Eats or driver tips.

Cumulus Media Albuquerque created the "Take a Ride on Us" program through collaborations with Bernalillo County, Sandoval County, Santa Fe County, Glasheen Valles & Inderman Injury Lawyers, Sandia Resort & Casino, and the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

Since its inception in 2017, the program has facilitated over 53,000 safe rides for residents of the Albuquerque Metro area. This public-private partnership aims to reduce impaired driving and enhance road safety during special events and holidays when alcohol consumption tends to increase.
