Community to gather for 32nd annual South Valley Pride Day

Bernalillo County is gearing up for the 32nd Annual South Valley Pride Day, slated for April 27, 2025. This event, scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. at the Westside Community Center on Isleta Blvd SW, aims to celebrate the community and its culture.

The festivities will commence at 11 a.m. with the South Valley Pride Day Parade. The parade promises diversity and entertainment with athletic teams, local organizations, fire trucks, classic cars, and equestrian teams participating in the procession. It starts at Blake Road and Isleta Blvd, proceeding north, then turning onto Arenal before concluding at the community center. Judges for the parade include Mayra Aguilar, a Telemundo news anchor, Julian Paras from KOAT, and Jacqlin Aragon of KOB.

At 12:30 p.m., the 2024 South Valley Pride Day Outstanding Citizens will be acknowledged. These honorees are recognized for their significant contributions to the community, embodying the values that define the South Valley.

Entertainment will also feature prominently, with live music from Nathaniel Krantz, Robbie Jude, dance groups, and the Rio Grande High School Marching Band all set to perform.

Adding to the day's attractions, there will be an array of food trucks and local artisans offering their products, ensuring attendees have a variety of options to enjoy.

South Valley Pride Day emphasizes community, culture, and pride, inviting families, friends, and neighbors to partake in a day filled with joy and unity.
