Representative Melanie Stansbury, who serves New Mexico's 1st district in the U.S. Congress, has recently expressed her views on various pressing issues through a series of tweets. Stansbury, who took office in 2021 after succeeding Deb Haaland, is actively engaging with her constituents and addressing national concerns.

On March 16, 2025, Rep. Stansbury highlighted the struggles faced by American families in a tweet: "All across America—families are struggling. And, they are asking us to take a stand and fight back. Later that day, she addressed Republican lawmakers' reluctance to engage with their communities amid economic challenges: "As we head into this District Work Period and Republicans have to face their own communities—many are refusing to hold Town Halls and meet with constituents. Why? Because the economy is tanking and our communities are outraged by their proposed cuts to Medicaid, food…"

On March 17, 2025, Stansbury announced plans for town hall meetings both in-person and virtually: "NM-01: We are taking our town halls on the road! Join us in Santa Rosa and Carizozzo, and if you can’t make it in person, we’re also holding a virtual town hall via Zoom! Plus, keep an eye on my socials for even more opportunities to meet with me this week!"
