Bernalillo County Animal Care Services is looking for committed volunteers to assist in their upcoming spay and neuter clinic scheduled for April 25 to April 27. This event aims to offer vital resources to pet owners and control the local pet population.

The clinic will provide no-cost spay and neuter surgeries to eligible pet owners. Volunteers will be instrumental in supporting the clinic's activities. Positions for volunteers are available, inviting interested individuals 18 and older to apply, irrespective of their prior experience.

"This is the fourth high-volume spay and neuter clinic the county has held since August 2024 and has provided more than 700 free surgeries to the pets within the community," the spokesperson confirmed.

Volunteers should submit their applications by Friday, April 18. Details on applying are available on the volunteer application page.
