We are seeing some snow today in the east mountains, mainly south of I-40. There isn’t much snowfall, but it is causing many issues with icy roads because of the rain we received over the weekend.Staff applied salt yesterday to our Priority 1 roads, which have since frozen over, and now the snow is making things difficult. The salt is trying to work, but the low temperatures and lack of sun are, unfortunately, causing everything to freeze.Our plows are out and crews are working their way through Priority 1 roads. Most gravel roads are Priority 3, and we will not be able to get to those until we can get a handle on the main roads first.Drive safe!
