On April 18, Rep. Stansbury expressed appreciation for the Southern District Tour, stating, "We had such an amazing time on our Southern District Tour! Thank you to everyone who hosted, toured, and came out to see us! Mescalero, Ruidoso, Roswell, Lincoln, Fort Stanton, Fort Sumner, and Moriarty—we love you! Next week we’ll be in Albuquerque, Rio Rancho and Bernalillo". She highlighted the locations visited and announced upcoming visits to additional communities.
Later that day, Stansbury conveyed warm wishes for the holiday, posting, "Wishing you and yours a peaceful and blessed Good Friday. ".
Stansbury continued to promote community engagement within her district, announcing an event in a third tweet, "NM-01: our Town Hall tour across the district continues! Please join us in Bernalillo and Rio Rancho next week. We’d love to see you! RSVP here:". She encourages constituents to participate in her upcoming town hall tours.
Melanie Stansbury, who replaced Deb Haaland in 2021, has served her district since then. She was born in Farmington, New Mexico, in 1979 and currently resides in Albuquerque. Prior to Congress, Stansbury served in the New Mexico House of Representatives between 2019 to 2021, and she holds a BA from Saint Mary's College of California (2002).
