Melanie Stansbury, born in Farmington, New Mexico in 1979, graduated from Saint Mary's College of California with a BA in 2002. She has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2021, representing New Mexico’s 1st district. Prior to that, she served in the New Mexico House of Representatives from 2019 to 2021. She resides in Albuquerque, continuing her political career with dedication and focus on issues affecting her constituents.
