Rep. Melanie Stansbury, currently serving in the U.S. Congress for New Mexico’s 1st district, has taken to social media to express her views on several key issues. Her recent tweets focus on advocacy for community voices and commentary on Congressional proceedings.

On March 4, 2025, Rep. Stansbury emphasized the importance of listening to community voices by stating: "Our communities’ voices must be heard. That’s why I invited Dr. Linda Son-Stone, CEO of First Nations Community HealthSource, as my guest for tonight’s joint address to Congress." She highlighted concerns over potential cuts to Tribal programs and Medicaid that could affect thousands of families.

The following day, March 5, 2025, she noted the commencement of a Joint Session of Congress with the words: "This Joint Session of Congress is about to get started. We’re here to bear witness."

Later on March 5, she succinctly remarked on an unspecified issue with: "This is not normal."
