Representative Melanie Stansbury, serving New Mexico's 1st district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of tweets addressing various issues and events from February 13 to February 14, 2025. Her communications reflect her involvement in legislative activities and community engagement.

On February 13, Rep. Stansbury commented on the week's activities involving the first DOGE Subcommittee in Oversight. She expressed enthusiasm about returning home for the District Work Period, where she plans to engage with community leaders and celebrate Black History Month. "It’s been a LOT this week with the first DOGE Subcommittee in Oversight."

Later that day, Rep. Stansbury addressed labor issues by mentioning her action alongside 264 colleagues urging former President Trump to reinstate National Labor Relations Board Member Gwyne Wilcox after what they consider an illegal firing. She emphasized the importance of fair treatment for workers ensured by the NLRB. "Labor is the backbone of our country."

On February 14, Rep. Stansbury criticized Elon Musk for allegedly undermining several government agencies such as Veterans Affairs and Small Business Administration while benefiting from federal contracts and GOP tax breaks for the wealthy. She described these actions as detrimental rather than efficient governance. "These are the agencies Elon Musk is actively gutting."
