Rep. Melanie Stansbury, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Mexico’s 1st district since 2021, recently took to social media to express her views and announce endorsements related to her political career. Her tweets cover a range of topics including leadership in environmental advocacy, support from Indigenous communities, and upcoming media appearances.

On December 12, 2024, Rep. Stansbury emphasized the importance of diverse leadership within the House Natural Resources Committee (HNRC). She stated "It’s time for a woman to lead as Ranking Member of HNRC, advocating for our environment and communities! We must ensure diverse voices shape our policies and protect our natural resources for future generations. Let’s make history!"

Later that day, she expressed gratitude for an endorsement she received: "I am deeply proud and honored to have the endorsement of the All Pueblo Council of Governors for Ranking Member of HNRC. I will always stand up for our Indigenous communities and ensure they have a seat at the table." This highlights her commitment to supporting Indigenous groups.

In another post on December 12, 2024, Rep. Stansbury invited followers to watch her appearance on a news program discussing future Democratic leadership. She announced "Join me on Meet the Press NOW with @kwelkernbc in about 10 minutes as we chat about the next generation of Democratic leaders and what we're going to do in Congress to combat Trump and Project 2025."
