Barbara Baca Commission Chair | County of Bernalillo
The Bernalillo County Board of Commissioners has elected its leadership for the 2025 calendar year. Eric Olivas, representing District 5, will serve as chair, while Adriann Barboa, from District 3, will take on the role of vice chair.
The chair is responsible for presiding over all board meetings and making committee assignments to various joint county/city committees, including the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority and Albuquerque Economic Development. The vice chair steps in when the chair is unavailable.
Board Chair Olivas was elected with a vote of 4-1. Vice Chair Barboa received unanimous support with a 5-0 vote.
