Last night the County Commission approved a one-time $300,000 appropriation which will support the overall mission of Historic Fairview Cemetery, located at 700 Yale Blvd SE, in preserving and restoring areas of the cemetery that provide the final resting place for approximately 500 veterans.
A memorandum of agreement has been entered into between Bernalillo County, the New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services (NMDVS), and the Historic Fairview Cemetery. The county will provide $300,000 by transfer to the NMDVS, to be used exclusively to benefit the Fairview Cemetery project.
