Online Anthropological Genetic History Classes from the Bernalillo County Office of Senior and Social Services begin on September 15! Classes will be presented by Paleographer and Genetic Genealogical Researcher, Angel de Cervantes.
Thursday's class will focus on the topic, "The Indo-European Connection to the Celts (DNA & Language Origin) (Haplogroup R1b1)" and takes place from 4-6p.m.

ABOUT: The Indo-European languages are a family of several hundred related languages and dialects. There are about 439 languages and dialects, according to the 2009 Ethnologue estimate, about half (221) belonging to the Indo-Aryan sub-branch. It includes most major current languages of Europe, the Iranian plateau, and the Indian Subcontinent, and was also predominant in ancient Anatolia. The connection between the Indo-European language and the Celts will be explored and the migration patterns of this ancient civilization will be discussed.
