2022: Fallen Heroes 9/11 Memorial
Bernalillo County Fire & Rescue would like to invite you to our Second Annual Fallen Firefighters 9/11 Memorial.
This year marks the 21st anniversary of the heinous terrorist attacks that took place on September 11th, 2001. BCFR has chosen to pay our respects and commemorate the loss of 343 Firefighters and 71 Law Enforcement Officers by staging a silent memorial at Bernalillo County @ Alvarado Square. (415 Silver Ave SW)
The memorial will be consisting of BCFD & BCSO’s Honor Guard standing watch over 100 sets of Firefighter bunker gear for a total of 343 minutes.
We will start the stream promptly at 6:30 AM and continue until 12:29 PM. This is an in person and online event - everyone is welcome to join.
Ceremonial procedures will be conducted throughout the event - marking the impact and collapse of the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and the United Airlines Flight 93 (Times are localized).
