Bernalillo County is collaborating with Altamont Little League to celebrate recent improvements to its junior field and the commencement of the 2025 season. The enhancements include the extension of the junior field, the installation of artificial turf, and the construction of a 20-foot outfield fence. These changes aim to provide a safer playing environment.
The upgrades will be honored with a ceremonial first pitch on Saturday, April 12, at Altamont Little League, located at 8300 Eubank Blvd NE.
"BernCo's Parks, Recreation & Open Spaces also say that a playground and a new parking lot on the eastern side of the Altamont Little League facility are in design and are expected to go into construction this summer."
