The University Libraries employs over 100 students annually, playing a crucial role in maintaining the daily operations of each library. Recently, the University Libraries announced the recipients of the 2025 Friday Hulsman Outstanding Student Employee Award.
Students are vital to fulfilling the library's mission of supporting the community through expertise, services, and promoting intellectual discovery. The award ceremony will feature the dean presenting the awards and certificates to the recipients.
The 2025 awardees are Reiana Ayers, Fennel Doney, Renata Gonzales, Benjamin Henrique, Saul Medina, Ismael Miranda, Alex Peralta, Kyla Romero, Marisol Velazquez, and Billy von Raven.
The Friday Hulsman Outstanding Student Employee Award was introduced during the 2017-2018 academic year with funding from Jim and Mary Lois Friday Hulsman. This initiative supports efforts in student engagement within the College of University Libraries and Learning Sciences.
A selection committee consisting of faculty and staff within the College evaluates nominees on various criteria, including performance, initiative, and contribution to the College and its patrons. Award winners receive a monetary prize and are celebrated at the ceremony.
