In a tweet on March 29, 2025, Stansbury emphasized the importance of unions for protecting workers, including federal employees. She criticized an executive action by Donald Trump that aimed to revoke collective bargaining rights at 18 federal agencies, stating, "Unions protect all of our workers—including our federal workers. Trump has issued an executive action trying to cancel collective bargaining rights at 18 federal agencies—impacting more than a million federal workers—nearly 1/3 of whom are veterans. This is illegal, full stop."

Later that day, Stansbury offered a message of hope and encouragement to students who may be experiencing uncertainty, linking to a video message featuring student leaders, including Noheya Begay-Yellowhair from the University of New Mexico. She expressed her support through the tweet, "To all of the students and young people out there feeling the weight and uncertainty of this moment – we just wanted to share this message of hope and support from ourselves and other student leaders, including Noheya Begay-Yellowhair, a student at UNM."

Stansbury also recognized National Vietnam War Veterans Day, honoring the service of 8.7 million Americans.
