Rep. Melanie Stansbury, a U.S. Congress member representing New Mexico's 1st district, recently shared her thoughts on various topics through a series of tweets. These posts touch on historical events, current political dynamics, and concerns about national security.

On March 24, 2025, Rep. Stansbury commemorated the anniversary of the March for Our Lives demonstration in Washington D.C., which occurred seven years ago. She noted that it was "one of the largest youth-led protests in America since the 1960s" and emphasized their call for "commonsense gun reform to save lives." "Yet, the shootings" continue to be an issue.

Later that day, Rep. Stansbury expressed her sentiments upon returning to Washington D.C. after a District Work Week back home. She mentioned that it was "shaping up to be a strange week on Capitol Hill," but she looked forward to returning home for more community visits by week's end. "Happy Monday everyone!"

In another tweet dated March 25, 2025, Rep. Stansbury addressed concerns over national security by criticizing what she described as "the stunningly dangerous and incompetent sharing of highly classified defense materials by the Secretary of Defense." She called for accountability in this matter."There are no words"
