On March 11, 2025, Rep. Stansbury posted a tweet addressing the financial implications of Elon Musk's actions. She expressed that "American taxpayers should not be left to pay the bill for Elon Musk’s illegal actions, which are now being challenged in court." To address this concern, she introduced the "Nobody Elected Elon Musk Act," aimed at ensuring accountability for Special Government Employees.

Later that day, she highlighted bipartisan awareness of the issue by sharing another post. In this tweet, dated March 11, 2025, she stated: "Just putting this here. Even R’s know what Elon Musk is doing isn’t right " This was accompanied by a link suggesting Republican acknowledgment of Musk's controversial actions.
