The 32nd annual South Valley Pride Day is scheduled for Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Westside Community Center in Bernalillo County. Applications are currently open for vendors, parade participants, outstanding citizen nominations, and the annual car show.
This year marks a new chapter for the event under District 2 Commissioner Frank Baca. As a longtime resident of South Valley, Commissioner Baca expressed his commitment to maintaining the tradition of celebrating community spirit and showcasing local talent and businesses. He stated that this year's event will be "a memorable day of pride, culture, and unity."
Vendor applications are being accepted from local businesses, food trucks, prepackaged food vendors, and craft/artisan vendors until March 27. Parade participation applications are also due by March 27. There will be no acceptance of entries on the day of the event.
Nominations for the Outstanding Citizens Award can be submitted until March 14. Nominees must reside in District 2 and have made significant contributions to their community. Current Bernalillo County employees are not eligible for nomination.
The car show registration is hosted by the Rio Grande Alumni Association and is open on a first-come, first-served basis until all spaces are filled. No entries will be accepted on the day of the event.
For further details or to apply for any of these opportunities, interested parties can visit the South Valley Pride Day homepage or contact events@bernco.gov.
BernCo anticipates strong community participation as residents come together to celebrate their shared culture and heritage during this annual event.
