Bernalillo County Commissioners held a public hearing and approved the issuance of Project Revenue Bonds (PRB) up to $55 million for the construction of Tierra Linda Apartments by DBG Properties, LLC. The decision was made during their meeting on February 25, 2025.

The project will be located in Southwestern Albuquerque, bordered by Dennis Chavez Blvd. to the north, 98th Street SW to the east, and Ceja Vista Drive SW to the south. It will consist of ten three-story wood-framed residential buildings with a total of 240 units. Half of these units will have three or four bedrooms. Additionally, a large community building designed as a clubhouse with family-oriented amenities is planned.

All rental units at Tierra Linda Apartments will be available to low-income tenants earning at or below 60% of the median income. The financing for this affordable housing project includes funding from 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). The PRBs are issued solely for tax exemption purposes and are privately financed by the project specifically for its development. Bernalillo County will not bear any debt or payment responsibilities related to these bonds.

Construction is anticipated to commence in the second quarter of 2025.
