Bernalillo County, the City of Albuquerque, and community leaders will host a summit on February 6th to discuss Unite Us, a platform designed to improve support systems for those experiencing housing or food insecurity. Launched in September 2024, Unite Us connects healthcare providers, non-profits, and other partners through a single system, streamlining care and simplifying referrals for resources such as food, housing, and behavioral health services.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Los Duranes Community Center in Albuquerque. The aim is to connect more partners with Unite Us to expand the network and educate community members about its benefits.
"The community requested this summit," said Health, Housing, and Homelessness Deputy Director Ellen Braden. "We are delighted to be a part of it to showcase how non-profits and service providers can be a part of this transformational system."
Mayor Tim Keller remarked on the collaboration between government and community: "This is an example of government and community working together to build a system that ensures the most vulnerable in our community don’t fall through the cracks."
Wayne Lindstrom, Bernalillo County Deputy County Manager of Behavioral Health stated: "The Unite Us Summit is an opportunity for community service providers to learn more about the platform that will enhance the network of care in Albuquerque and Bernalillo County."
Interviews regarding registration for the summit are available upon request.
