Bernalillo County's Office of the County Assessor is organizing a Business Personal Property (BPP) seminar at Alvarado Square. The seminar aims to assist business owners in completing their BPP property renditions, which are required annually. Those who fail to file face a 5% property tax penalty.
The event is scheduled for January 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. at BernCo at Alvarado Square, located at 415 Silver Ave, SW, 87102. The seminar targets business owners within the county.
County Assessor Damian Lara stated, “This seminar is intended to build a relationship with our business community and provide an opportunity to make change, for the better, together.” He added that "All business owners should 'Know Their Value'. We are here to help."
Participants will also learn about SmartFile, an electronic filing platform for BPP renditions. Registration forms can be found on BernCo.gov/Assessor.
