Bernalillo County celebrated the completion of a significant expansion and renovation of the Paradise Hills Community Center skate park with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The project has doubled the park's size and increased the number of features available to local skaters.
The makeover included repurposed skate features from the Los Vecinos Community Center skate park, along with new elements funded by Commissioner Walt Benson’s district-directed funds, development impact fees, and a legislative grant from the state legislature. These improvements provide additional ramps, rails, and skating surfaces suitable for skaters of all skill levels.
This expansion is part of Bernalillo County's ongoing efforts to enhance recreational spaces for the community. The upgraded skate park now offers greater capacity, improved safety features, and an enhanced layout for tricks, practice, and competitions.
