Bernalillo County, N.M. – The "Take a Ride on Us" initiative is back for the holiday season, offering residents in Bernalillo, Sandoval, and Santa Fe counties an alternative to driving under the influence during Christmas celebrations. From 10 a.m. on December 19 until 2 a.m. on December 26, individuals can use the Uber app with code NMMERRY24 under "Vouchers" to receive up to $10 off two rides.
The offer is capped at 2,500 trips on a first-come, first-served basis. The discount applies only to ride fares and excludes Uber Eats or driver tips.
Developed by Cumulus Media Albuquerque, this program is supported through partnerships with Bernalillo County, Sandoval County, Santa Fe County, Glasheen Valles and Inderman Injury Lawyers, Sandia Resort & Casino, and the New Mexico Department of Transportation.
Since its inception in 2017, over 53,000 safe rides have been provided to residents in the Albuquerque Metro area through this public-private partnership aimed at reducing impaired driving during the holiday period.
