Bernalillo County Fire Rescue has introduced 12 new station mascot designs and an online store. This initiative aims to enhance community engagement, team spirit, brand identity, and creativity. The project was developed by a dedicated committee and a talented artist, offering a fresh take on tradition while embodying the unique spirit of the firefighting community.

The mascots serve as distinct identities for each of Bernalillo County’s fire districts and will act as ambassadors for fire safety and community events. "This project has been a labor of love for our department, and we are thrilled to share it with our community," said BernCo Fire Chief Greg Perez. "The mascots symbolize the unity, pride, and dedication of our firefighters, and the online store allows us to strengthen our connections with the residents we serve."

The online store offers t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, and more featuring the new designs. In partnership with Graphic Connection, $5 from every item sold will be donated to the Fire Department Quality of Life Fund. This fund supports awards for exceptional members, training for volunteer chaplains, among other initiatives.
