On November 23, 2024, Rep. Stansbury expressed her sorrow over the death of a fellow politician. "I am devastated to learn of the passing of U.S. Senator Fred Harris." The tweet included a link to her full statement regarding this loss.
The following day, November 24, she highlighted concerns regarding healthcare for veterans amidst anticipated policy changes by the upcoming administration. "Reminder: this includes healthcare for our veterans! Veterans deserve so much more than the upcoming Trump administration's disastrous plans."
Later that same day, Stansbury addressed immigration issues concerning New Mexico as a border state. She criticized proposed deportation plans by Donald Trump and vowed resistance against them. "New Mexico is a border state and we will fight Donald Trump and his efforts to conduct a mass deportation plan. It is illegal, it is inhuman, and we will fight him every step of the way."
