The ABQ BioPark is seeking a warehouse worker to join its Facilities department. The successful candidate will be responsible for retrieving, storing, and organizing warehouse materials, inspecting them for damage, verifying shipping documents, and ensuring proper storage. This role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

The position is based at the ABQ BioPark, which includes the Zoo, Aquarium, Botanic Garden, and Tingley Beach. It is a full-time role with a two-year term through a temporary staffing agency rather than the City of Albuquerque.

Duties include receiving shipments, stocking inventory, inspecting materials for discrepancies, maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse area, picking stock orders by requisition, operating material handling equipment like forklifts, responding to walk-ins and inquiries about warehouse operations efficiently.

Supplemental functions involve assisting in preparing reports on inventory items and performing related duties as required. A successful candidate should be familiar with warehouse practices and enjoy working with diverse individuals across various departments.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. A valid NM Driver’s License and two years of experience in a similar setting are required. Candidates must also pass a security background check.

The work schedule is generally Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional weekend or evening work. The pay rate is $17.29 per hour.
