The ABQ BioPark will host its annual Harvest Festival at the Botanic Garden and Aquarium on October 5 and 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will feature activities and entertainment suitable for all ages.
The festival will also provide a preview of the Heritage Farm expansion. From October 3-13, visitors can explore parts of the farm before it closes again on October 14 for continued construction.
Tickets are available in advance on the BioPark's website. Prices are $12 for adults, $6 for children aged 3-12 and seniors over 65, with free admission for children under three. Members of the New Mexico BioPark Society receive a 50% discount with a valid membership card and ID.
Local bands will perform at various locations within the Botanic Garden and Aquarium from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. Genres will range from surf rock and swing to folk and flamenco. The full entertainment schedule is available on the City’s website.
Additional activities include face painting, seasonal photo opportunities, an artisan market, educational Discovery Stations, and various festival treats like BBQ and loaded apple wedges from Shark Reef Cafe. Food kiosks throughout the event will offer cider made from apples grown at the Botanic Garden and local brews for purchase by those over 21.
