Bernalillo County announces the latest addition to the CARE Campus with a new program for individuals seeking outpatient behavioral health support. The Adán Carriaga Living Room is a comfortable, non-hospital environment that offers those in escalating crises a safe and calming home-like setting.
The program offers free-of-charge crisis intervention, peer counseling, peer-centered safety and crisis planning, as well as basic needs like healthy food, clean showers, animal care, and transportation. Services are offered by a licensed New Mexico certified peer support worker.
The living room is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., including holidays, and is available to assist individuals seeking support recovery, to reduce symptoms, and to de-escalate immediate crises and develop skills and resources to prevent or reduce future crises.
