U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg announced on Wednesday a historic $800 million in grant awards for 510 projects through the new Safe Streets and Roads for All Grant Program and Bernalillo County is one of the recipients.
Bernalillo County has been awarded a $6.3 million grant by the Federal Highway Administration that will be used to improve pedestrian safety on a two-mile segment of Coors Boulevard, from Blake Road to Gun Club Road in the South Valley.
