Karen Yank As The Artist | IMAGO / ZUMA Wire

After extensive review of 22 proposals, a local public art selection committee has chosen Karen Yank as the artist for the Sunport Boulevard Extension Public Art Project. She is the recipient of the 2022 New Mexico Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts. She has created over 50 large-scale public sculptures to date. These projects have resulted in several awards including the PRIDE Award from the American Road and Transportation Builders Association, the Golden Cumbre Award from the New Mexico Public Relations Society of America, and an Americans for the Arts and KRIS Wine “Art of Giving” contest finalist.
