Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on April 2.
On August 30, 2020, Joanna Boyd and her friend decided to hike and rock climb near Sandia Crest. Tragically, Joanna had fallen and needed immediate medical attention.
Thank you to Bernalillo County Fire Department Albuquerque Police Department UNM Hospital Albuquerque Mountain Rescue Council for all working together to successfully rescue Joanna.
