Cost of college went up for all students at Southwest University of Visual Arts-Albuquerque

Tuition and fees rose 0.1 percent for 2018-19 at Southwest University of Visual Arts-Albuquerque, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New Mexico students paid $22,613 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year – $25 more than the $22,588 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 50 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 6 students received grants or scholarships totaling $21,400 and 6 students took out student loans totaling more than $68,382.

Including all undergraduates (49), 33 students used grants or scholarships totaling $237,062, and 31 students took out $345,748 in federal student loans.
