Bernalillo County NM issued the following announcement on May 15.
County Commissioner Steven Michael Quezada today handed out face masks to employees at various restaurants and food establishments in the South Valley.
The South Valley is in County Commission District 2, which is represented by Quezada.
As the restrictions for coronavirus (COVID-19) are slowly being lifted, and allowing more of these places to open up, Commissioner Quezada wanted to help employees at these businesses have the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to work in a safer environment.
“It’s extremely important to me that we protect our essential workforce,” says Commissioner Steven Michael Quezada. “I want to be sure these tools are available to meet this critical need.”
