The Anderson Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum is set to host "AIR-Mazing Activities" from March 18 to 21, an event aimed at engaging visitors with the science of air. This spring break initiative invites individuals of all ages to delve into concepts such as lift, buoyancy, and airflow through various interactive experiments and demonstrations.

Participants can engage in activities like defying gravity by keeping a balloon afloat using a household fan, testing skills at the wind table, exploring buoyancy with different objects, and observing hot air balloons rise.

Mayor Tim Keller emphasized the educational value of these events: “A break from school is the perfect opportunity to explore new interests and keep young minds engaged,” he said. He highlighted that such experiences help children learn and grow.

For younger audiences, a special edition of Stories in the Sky will take place on March 19. It features Science Girl’s Lab, an interactive session designed to foster a love for science among early learners.

On March 21, visitors can experience a virtual reality hot air balloon ride presented by Jesse Sansom and Visit Albuquerque. The VR experience will run from noon to 4:30 p.m., allowing participants to simulate floating above the ground. Additionally, The Munchie Truck will offer food services on-site from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with discounts available for youth under 18.

All activities are included with museum admission. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online.
