Bernalillo County, New Mexico, is set to host the "Mountain View Sector Development Plan Public Workshop," which serves as a kick-off meeting for developing a sector plan with community collaboration. This workshop will take place on Thursday, February 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mountain View Elementary School.
The event aims to provide an overview of the Mountain View Sector Development Plan, addressing various issues impacting the local community. Topics include land use for industrial, commercial, and residential purposes; public facilities; transportation; utilities; housing; economic development; sustainability; and environmental concerns.
District 2 Commissioner Frank Baca emphasized the importance of community input in shaping the future of Mountain View. "We are committed to hearing what the community has to say, and we value their input on the future of the Mountain View neighborhood," he stated. He further noted that this plan would guide growth and ensure residents' priorities are considered in future developments.
The workshop will start with a presentation followed by small group discussions focused on planning issues pertinent to the area. Attendees can expect dinner provisions and activities for children, including snacks and coloring in a designated kids' zone.
