Greens fees at city golf courses are set to rise by $1 per round starting December 1, 2024. This adjustment will apply to all City-operated courses, including Los Altos, Arroyo del Oso, Puerto del Sol, and Ladera. Notifications regarding the change have already been posted at each location.

The fee increase was mandated by the City Council through legislation tied to the FY25 City budget (R-24-36). The last greens fee increase occurred in July 2019, when rates also rose by $1 per round. The new rate is expected to generate an additional $220,000 annually for the General Fund.

Dave Simon, Director of the Parks & Recreation Department, stated: “This small adjustment will support course maintenance but still keep the public courses as a great golf value.”

The increased revenue will help manage rising operational costs for the City's golf courses, which include expenses for sand, seed, fertilizer, and fuel.

Despite this increase, the City's four golf courses continue to offer some of the most affordable rates in the Metro area. These courses remain open 364 days a year as long as weather conditions allow.
