South Valley residents dealing with power outages are encouraged to visit the Westside Community Center for warmth and refreshments. The center, located at 1250 Isleta Blvd. SW, is available to those residing in unincorporated Bernalillo County, outside of Albuquerque city limits, who remain without electricity.
The community center initially opened its doors on Thursday, November 7. However, due to low attendance, it closed at 9 p.m. It will continue operations throughout Friday, November 8 until the end of the business day.
