The City of Albuquerque's Department of Senior Affairs is inviting the community to its annual Ageless Artisan Craft Fair. The event will take place at Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center on Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This fair presents an opportunity for attendees to purchase unique holiday gifts crafted by over 50 artisans. Available items include tin art, woodwork, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, and more. These creations are made by members of the city's senior and multigenerational centers.
Mayor Tim Keller emphasized the importance of this event beyond shopping: “It’s about supporting our local senior artists, celebrating their creativity, and discovering handmade gifts with a story behind them.”
Many of the crafts were developed in classes offered at the city’s senior and multigenerational centers. Director of Senior Affairs Anna Sanchez highlighted the dedication of these artisans: “Our talented artisans have invested time, effort, and heart into these works.”
The craft fair is free to attend. More information can be found at cabq.gov/seniors/events.
