Next week, Bernalillo County Parks, Recreation and Open Space launches their first session of Lifeguard Classes. The first session is through Jan. 23 - 27 from 3 - 8 p.m., and applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must be 15 years of age by the last class and;
Attend all classes;
Perform a 300-yard swim;
Bring a swimsuit;
Must be able to retrieve a 10lb brick from the bottom of the pool (10ft).
Unable to attend our first set of classes? You're in luck! The second session takes place on Jan. 28, 29 & Feb. 4, 5, from 9 a.m. - 5.p.m.
