On Sunday, Sept. 11, Bernalillo County Fire Department will be conducting their second annual “Fallen Firefighters 9/11 Memorial.” This event marks the 21st anniversary of the terrorist attacks that took place on September 11th, 2001. BCFD has chosen to pay our respects and commemorate the loss of 343 Firefighters and 71 Law Enforcement Officers by staging a silent memorial at Bernalillo County @ Alvarado Square. The memorial will be consisting of BCFD & BCSO’s Honor Guard standing watch over 100 sets of Firefighter bunker gear for a total of 343 minutes.
The presentation will start promptly at 6:46 a.m. and continue until 12:29 p.m. and will be livestreamed on this Facebook page. https://www.bernco.gov/.../bcfd-hosting-second-annual.../
