INDIAN PUEBLO CULTURAL CENTER: Moccasin-making activity from our Indigenous Wisdom curriculum

Craft

Indian Pueblo Cultural Center issued the following announcement on Mar. 22.

Here's a moccasin-making activity from our Indigenous Wisdom curriculum. You can use paper, felt, leather, or whatever you have around the house. This particular activity is from the 2nd–3rd grade math lesson.

With our museum closed, and many families now seeking educational resources and activities due to closed schools, we invite you to download our FREE “Indigenous Wisdom” K–12 curriculum, which includes several fun and engaging STEM activities (including cooking). The curriculum has easy-to-follow lesson plans for Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science, plus plenty of activities that can be done with common household items. The plans also include convenient links and reading lists. We hope you enjoy this fun and educational resource, and invite you to let us know what projects and materials you and your family like best.

If you like and use our curriculum, please consider making a small donation. Admission to the IPCC museum is a key source of funding for our nonprofit institution. Since we had to temporarily close our museum due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, we would appreciate any donation you can make to IPCC. As always, we appreciate your support and recognize how important you are to helping us achieve our mission of preserving and perpetuating Pueblo culture. #MuseumFromHome
