On March 31, 2025, Stansbury expressed her concerns regarding the political environment in Washington, DC, particularly pointing out actions taken by the GOP majority. She stated, "Friends—we’re back at it in DC, defending the Constitution and American voting rights. Because, this week the GOP is using their majority to try to undermine the judiciary, make it harder for millions to vote, and repeal basic consumer protections. Really, you can’t make it up."

On April 1, 2025, she offered her support to Senator Cory Booker, who was holding the Senate floor to spotlight the alleged harms caused by the current Administration and Elon Musk. Stansbury tweeted, "Go, Cory, go! Nearly 18 hours in and @SenBooker is holding the Senate Floor to highlight the harms this Administration and Elon Musk are having on the American people. You are an American Hero, Senator! And we are right here with you!"

Later that day, Stansbury commented on what she referred to as "abuse of power." She highlighted issues involving various political figures, including Trump's Health Secretary and Elon Musk, as well as the House GOP's actions regarding voting rights. Her tweet stated, "Folks, this is what abuse of power looks like. - Trump’s Health Secretary is trying to fire 10,000 healthcare workers. - Elon Musk is trying to buy an election in Wisconsin. - And the House GOP is trying to undermine the voting rights of millions of Americans and the judicial"
