Bernalillo County is collaborating with local organizations to offer free rides for St. Patrick’s Day festivities. The "Take a Ride on Us" initiative provides residents in Bernalillo, Sandoval, and Santa Fe counties with an alternative to driving under the influence.

From 10 a.m. on March 14 through 2 a.m. on March 18, residents can use the Uber app to enter the code NMGREEN25 under the “Vouchers” section, receiving up to $10 off two rides. This offer is available for up to 2,000 trips on a first-come, first-served basis and applies only to Uber rides, excluding Uber Eats or driver tips.

The program is a public-private partnership initiated by Cumulus Media Albuquerque and supported by Bernalillo County, Sandoval County, Santa Fe County, Glasheen Valles & Inderman Injury Lawyers, Sandia Resort & Casino, and the New Mexico Department of Transportation.

Since its inception in 2017, "Take a Ride on Us" has facilitated over 61,000 safe rides in the Albuquerque Metro area. The program aims to reduce impaired driving and enhance road safety during holidays and special events.
