Michelle Kavanaugh has been sworn in as the new Bernalillo County Clerk. Kavanaugh, elected in November, previously served as Deputy County Clerk for four years. In her previous role, she managed key office functions and led initiatives to enhance government accessibility, voting convenience, and representation.
The ceremony also included the swearing-in of two new Deputy Clerks, Denine Morelos and Kelli Baca. Morelos is recognized for her expertise in Recording & Filing and contributions during election periods. Baca is noted for her knowledge of election administration.
“I am honored to serve the people of Bernalillo County and to work alongside such talented Deputy Clerks,” said Kavanaugh. “Together, we will continue to uphold the integrity and accessibility of our elections and public services.”
