Urban Enhancement Trust Fund opens applications for FY2026/2027

Applications are now open for the City of Albuquerque's Urban Enhancement Trust Fund (UETF) funding cycle for fiscal years 2026 and 2027. The fund aims to support not-for-profit arts and cultural organizations, collectives, or community groups with projects that creatively enrich the urban environment.

Mayor Tim Keller emphasized Albuquerque's unique art scene, stating, “Albuquerque is home to a rich and diverse art scene that you won’t find anywhere else. We’re always looking to create more opportunities to support our local artists and will continue invest in projects that fuel creativity and beautify our community.”

The UETF is dedicated to backing programs that celebrate cultural diversity, foster creativity, and strengthen community bonds. Grants from this cycle will be allocated to projects with lasting impacts, such as cultural festivals, exhibitions, performances, and youth engagement initiatives. The fund particularly encourages applications from collectives, artist-led groups, and organizations new to receiving awards.

The deadline for applications is January 20, 2025. An information session will be held on December 12, alongside regular Zoom office hours throughout December. Details on eligibility criteria and application guidelines can be found at www.cabq.gov/uetf.

UETF aims to fund projects addressing the needs of Albuquerque's diverse communities by enhancing access to quality cultural activities. This two-year cycle focuses on initiatives that positively impact residents by offering increased opportunities for cultural programming representative of the city's population.
